From the sublime to the ridiculous

So in June I confused a cyclist with my basket of strawberries, accompanied by a small posy of anemones.

Today, I trumped that. The bicycle basket is a very useful tool, but I was a little unsure about its ability to transport gladioli. But the flowers made it safely home.
The secret? Wedged in with broad beans. Classy!

Wow, those Gladioli are stunning!

You really are pushing the boundries of normal bicycle basket etiquette there! :D

Good crop of broad beans HM - I'm jealous as most of mine succumbed to black fly again this year! :(

I am considering getting a bike to convey me to and fro the lottie HM - I can see that there is much art and ingenuity involved in the logistics of getting one's harvest home safely :)

NG - we've had lots of black fly but the beans triumphed over them, luckily. Delicious :)

Anna - art, ingenuity, and a trail of produce from the plot to the house...
