At the moment I have all sorts of things in trays (ox eye daisies, field scabious, cowslips) getting big enough to try life outside in our little orchard.Elizabeth Musgravehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09473705107636868753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-9893675033336244442010-04-05T18:51:25.820+00:002010-04-05T18:51:25.820+00:00Great post! Thanks also for the info on the competition, I hadn't heard about biodiversity year.
YanYanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08654318522995279468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-12612106424007788692010-04-05T10:26:47.074+00:002010-04-05T10:26:47.074+00:00Hello HappyMouffetard, your post is very interesti...Hello HappyMouffetard, your post is very interesting and I love the idea of flower meadows. Sadly I don't have enough ground but we do try to leave a little corner. Thank you for the link to comp too :-)Chrissiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18446592829079921028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-5664639297716823652010-04-04T17:58:47.662+00:002010-04-04T17:58:47.662+00:00Fabulous photos. It's sad that we've changed our world so much but it's worthwhile work restoring it to its natural state.Lzyjohttp://wormandflowers.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-12943557871277667922010-04-04T12:32:15.630+00:002010-04-04T12:32:15.630+00:00Hi thanks for visitng my blog and taking the time ...Hi thanks for visitng my blog and taking the time to leave a comment.Great blog with fantastic photos, I have never had the opportunity to visit Tatton park so enjoyed those especially!Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16336168195436906219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-54638980429306943582010-04-04T07:24:05.149+00:002010-04-04T07:24:05.149+00:00The hoverfly picture is stunning. I take the view that all blackfly on my broad beans must die (sorry!), but try to leave most other things. Though I am rather concerned about what is eating many of my narcissi flowers this year. Something is chomping away just as they come out, and I'm not impressed. Any thoughts on what it might be?Gwenfar's Lottiehttp://gwenfarslottie.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-7335696870702480382010-04-03T22:08:26.134+00:002010-04-03T22:08:26.134+00:00I am all about biodiversity... great post thanks f...I am all about biodiversity... great post thanks for sharing.Dirty Girl Gardeninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01856885297555604550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-66793684357412703112010-04-03T17:44:48.971+00:002010-04-03T17:44:48.971+00:00I have the same problem, esther, unless it's o...I have the same problem, esther, unless it's obviously something munching away with hundreds of its colleagues, like the Solomon Seal sawfly.HappyMouffetardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09157145094611234176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33750459.post-34311690686743416472010-04-03T16:00:05.641+00:002010-04-03T16:00:05.641+00:00I have a horrible internal conflict. I can't properly recognise the different stages in a moth / butterfly / ladybird or hover-fly's life so I'm often unsure which creatures to leave on plants and which I should transport elsewhere or throw over the wall. It's probably easier in a bigger garden where you can set special areas aside but in a small garden (like ours) plants, 'wildlife' and family have to co-exit. 'Co-exist' I say! Battle it out or fail . . . or despair . . . or, if all else fails, feel noble.

EstherEsther Montgomeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05412078991551799972noreply@blogger.com
