Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day

Not much flowering at the moment chez Mouffetard, at least not much which is readily accessible and doesn't involve lying down in mud to photograph. so behold - a Hellebore.

Oh. Oh what a stunning picture.

It is very nice...I have decided to get an inexpensive yoga mat so I can lie down to get a few good shots into a flowers face! gail

I love the color of that hellebore! I can't believe how many I am seeing, now that I discovered them at my sister's new place. I am determined to find some to grow.

Happy GBBD!

I skipped the mud and did overhead shots instead. Love your Hellebore - I feel like I could stroke the screen and it would be like touching silk.

A beautiful hellebore. Mine are still not quite there. If I get down in the mud these days I am not sure how long it would take me to get up again :)

What's so bad about lying in the mud to get a good picture? :-)

But that is truly a hellebore to behold.

Thanks for joining in for bloom day.

That is one gorgeous hellebore. Worth getting into the mud for a good photo.

The comment about lying down in the mud made me laugh -it seems that most things in flower at the moment require us to lie down to photograph them. But then 4ft high snowdrops would look weird!!

LOL - at least you've got mud in which to lie. The ground has frozen up again here. (Not that I actually miss mud...) Your Hellebore is such a gorgeous thing with that rich, dark color!

I'm really enjoying everyone's hellebores this GBBD. Wish I had some too!

Oh, but Hellebores are so lovely. No need for others when they're in bloom! Nice blog, I've enjoyed poking around.

Wow. Sometimes it's not quantity, it's quality. Beautiful!

Your hellebore is the most glorious colour! And those iris and other that didn't cooperate for Bloom Day are gorgeous too.
"My Family and Other Animals" is one of my all time favourites too :)
