There is a time, deep in Winter, when you wonder if longer days will ever arrive. But they do. And nature notices. Spring is here. The blackbirds are singing. My heart lifts.

Totally scrumptious, what beautiful photographs. And thank you, that photo of Iris reticulata growing through what looks like fresh sedum growth has given me the perfect spot to plant mine out once they have finished flowering.
Beautiful, dreamlike photos. The awakening of the garden in early Spring is a magical moment in the year I agree.
Stunning photos! Your garden is certainly awakening with the promise of Springtime!
Beautiful. I agree with above, they are dream like.
Loved your photos---that orange crocus is ti die for as my teens would say. I am in snow-covered Pennsylvania in the US, but managed to find some flowers. Happy GBBD, Carolyn
I particularly like the dewdrop on the close up of the iris ?'Katharine Hodgkin.'? Don't the dirty colours on that iris look great, too. You'd think they'd mar the beauty, but they enhance it.
Wow!! Absolutely stunning photos. Makes me forget it is still winter.

Wonderful flowers. Your photography is amazing.
Incredibly beautiful photos. They capture the feeling of spring. Nothing inelegant about them.
