Oh my toad lily isnt looking too happy at the mo as we havent had much rain recently - Gentian is my Wordless Wednesday
Lovely photo. Glad I didn't miss it I have been so busy of late and got so behind with blogging.
Hi Happy, Aren't they lovely flowers...we've had so much rain this summer/fall that it's about to bloom it's head off! Have a sweet day. gail
I've not seen one of these before - and can't decide whether I want to say 'isn't that beautiful' or 'oh! Yeuch!'Lucy
Such an elegant picture of an elegant flower taking by an elegant gardener. But before I beome to lyrical: my toadlilies all croaked it this year. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Wonderful photo, I love Toad Lilies!Sadly mine seem to have died??? I really need to replace them because they are wonderful when you get close...
Nice looking flower, Oh.., we only have pink and white zephyr lily.. ~bangchik
Love those toad lilies. I've never seen one in person, but can imagine the fascination with this plant from the pictures.
I like these too! I'm thinking it'd be perfect in my shade garden - orchid like in their beauty, interesting leaves, and shade loving, right? Lucy - I bet you'd really like this if you could see the whole plant. (not complaining about the close up! very pretty!!)
Wonderful picture - because it shows just what nasty plants these are. I always think they're looking at me.
lovely bloom. very different fro other lilies we grow.
I can not even compare it with any other plant, it is so different. It looks kind of mystical on your picture.P.S. I want to compliment your blog's design. It's simple, not busy, nothing distracts a reader from a post. Very nice.
