I came over a bit arty today, after gathering some acer leaves from my father's garden. The tree looked fantastic with the sun on it but I didn't have a camera with me. So, I took some of the leaves away with me and have done a 'Sarah Raven'.The title of this post is in tribute to Professor Denzil Dexter. SomeBeans and I are probably the only two people to remember the sketch.
It reminds me of an embroidered firescreen.

Did you notice the gap in the middle that? I was removing a young rat from the kitchen - cat present!

ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful ! it reminds me of the day I was planting the last of the Spring bulbs and I saw my Tiger Eye Sumac "glowing" like this .. my camera could not capture what my eye was shouting at me though .. it was beautiful and I can well imagine how gorgeous your father's tree must have been in the sunlight !
