Cold spell hits Cheshire - alpine wildlife move in

No, it hasn't been quite that cold in Cheshire, but not far off. This handsome chap is made of bronze and can be found at the top of a mountain in Obergurgl, Austria.

Just in case anyone has been wondering, the pork pie has now disappeared.

I have would have certainly noticed one of those fine beasts leaping round north Cheshire. It has been rather cold for some time but why do we always miss out on the snow ?

What a great piece of sculpture - it had me fooled for a while

I thought at first some new wildlife had been reintroduced to the towering mountains of Cheshire - and that you had got the snow we had missed (lol)

W.r.t the pork pie.. my next door neighbour found a mars bar and another chocolate bar hidden in the soil of one of his plant pots in the front garden. He never found out who/what had done it.

Years ago I found about 6 fish fingers in my garden all within a few inches of each other. I suspected that it had something to do with my cat. Either he had stolen them and bought them back one by one or he had been caught in the neighbours kitchen having a go at them whilst they defrosted and the neighbour had angrily chucked the spoiled food into my garden. Nothing was ever proved.

Who ate all the pies then? ;)

Did you know if you place sacrificial Mallow Peeps in your garden they will not disintegrate? But the slugs will eat them.

Another bit of useless information from the brain child at Wolfdancer Creek, infused with silliness!

Thanks for all the fun posts, and this Friendship Award is for you!
