Basket case

I have just cycled back from the allotment with a small harvest. The cyclist who pulled up along side us at the traffic lights looked, looked and looked again at the contents of my basket. I'm not sure if he thought me odd, or if he was plucking up the courage to ask for a strawberry, or perhaps an anemone to tuck behind his ear.

Nothing was said. The lights changed. We cycled on our separate ways.

Delighted by the colours, perhaps?

I expect he was jealous! A lovely basketful.

It is possible he was only interested in my lovely wife, the scoundrel!

@Somebeans, I doubt that very much. I wish I'd done my good deed for the day & offered him a strawberry now.

A lovely lady, strawberries and flowers = romance on the road. He was proably intoxicated by the sights and smells you temptress! Haha

@carrie, rather more likely to be bemused by the mad woman covered in soil.

Think that if I was aforesaid cyclist I would not have showed such self restraint - I would have reached over and have made inroads into your strawberries :)
