A very fun army!I enjoyed catching up with you. MAy is a grand time in the garden. Your flowers are lovely. Sherry
how cute and funny! what plant is that?
Gwenfar - it's Calceolaria uniflora (Darwin's Slipper flower). Apparently it was discovered by Charles Darwin at the southern-most tip of S. America. I took the photo at Malvern show, where it was an entry in the alpine pplant competition. I'd never seen anything like it before. A small army of Button Moon's Mr Spoon marching right at me.
Hi HM. It's been lovely catching up with all your posts at last - and I'm sorry I didn't get to Malvern judging by your photos(bit of a slog from here).I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the slipper flowers looked like Mr.Spoon!!! :)
