The other Malvern spring flower show

What a weekend. I'll write lots on the Malvern spring garden show tomorrow when I'm back home, including which garden designer was upstaged by an egg-laying chicken. However, just in case anyone is thinking of going to the Malvern Show tomorrow and wants to round off a great day out with something even more spectacular, I'd recommend a trip to Cowleigh Woods in West Malvern.

And here's why...

And then we had a quick trip to Welland Village Hall, where there are these beautiful green-winged orchids.

Stunning!

What a wonderful sight! Saw some bluebells last week when we were in Wales, but not like these. Too hot for them here, of course.

I knew about the bluebells but how did you know about th orchids in Welland?

Lovely, aren't they?
PG - I'm a Malvern girl through and through; Dad and I had a trip round the hills this afternoon and he mentioned about the orchids there, so we stopped by on the way back home from the bluebells.

What a glorious display of bluebells. Wish that I had known about the orchids - we have been to Malvern too and our campervan was parked up behind the Marlbank Inn in Welland :)

Wow!
I thought we'd got a lot of bluebells in our copse this year, but they are NOTHING compared to this!

Those rolling hills covered in bluebells are spectacular. I love the sheets of blue.
