After the rain...

Beautiful photos HM - I love the clarity of the water droplets on the stem. It's not stopped raining long enough here for me to venture out to take photos - I'm stuck with painting furniture instead!

Glorious. I expect I shall be recording something similar this afternoon, as the weather has been threatening a drownpour for the past several hours.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad I went out when I did - it's bucketing down again now. Just so long as we have a dry fortnight whilst my peony flowers.

Yes, beautiful photos. Although my cynical voice was suggesting ".. and a million weeds"!

Great photos - I have so much to do in the garden at the moment but I have been cursing the rain all day.

Hi Happy, the rain really adds glamour to the plants, like makeup. The camera loves the drops, excellent photos!

The rain has been relentless today.

Keep up the good work!

What plant is the second picture down with the rich purpley blue flower?

I really will have to improve my close-up photo skills you are setting the bar very high!

Hi Arabella,
It's just a self-sown aquilegia - flattened out of shape by all the torrential rain.
